By accessing or using Budget0 ("the Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Application.

2. Nature of the Service

Budget0 is a commercial application for budgeting and finance management. Key characteristics include:

• One-time purchase of $2.99 USD / €2.99 EUR through official app stores
• All data processing occurs on your device
• No user data is transmitted to our servers
• No user accounts or authentication required
• Optional cloud backup via iCloud on iOS and Google Drive on Android
• The Application functions completely offline after download

3. License and Purchase Terms

License Grant: Upon purchase, you receive:

• A perpetual, non-transferable license to use Budget0
• The right to install on devices linked to your app store account
• Access to all current features of the application
• Bug fixes and compatibility updates

Purchase Terms:

• One-time purchase price: $2.99 USD / €2.99 EUR (or local equivalent)
• No subscription fees or recurring charges
• Purchases are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• Refunds are subject to the respective app store's refund policy

4. Data Storage and Responsibility

Your Data is Your Responsibility: Since Budget0 stores all data locally on your device:

• You are solely responsible for backing up your data
• We cannot recover lost or deleted data
• Uninstalling the app will permanently delete your budgets
• Device loss, damage, or theft may result in data loss
• We recommend regular cloud backups and PDF exports of important budgets

5. No Data Collection

Budget0 does not:

• Collect personal information
• Track usage patterns or analytics
• Store data on external servers
• Share data with third parties
• Use cookies for tracking purposes
• Require registration or login

6. Use of the Application

You may use Budget0 for any lawful purpose related to budgeting and finance management. You agree to:

• Use the Application in compliance with all applicable laws
• Not attempt to reverse engineer or modify the Application
• Not use the Application for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Accept that the Application is provided "as is"

7. Intellectual Property

The Budget0 Application, including its design, features, and documentation, is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Application for personal or business purposes.

8. Third-Party Components

Budget0 includes integrated components for PDF export and other features. All third-party components are included in the app and subject to their respective licenses.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Accuracy or reliability of information
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, budgets, or financial records
• Loss of profits or business opportunities
• Damages resulting from use or inability to use the Application
• Any damages exceeding the amount you paid for the Application ($2.99/€2.99)

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Budget0, its creators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Application or violation of these Terms.

12. Updates and Modifications

We reserve the right to:

• Update or modify the Application at any time
• Discontinue the Application with or without notice
• Change these Terms of Service

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

13. Export Controls

The Application may be subject to export controls. You agree to comply with all applicable export and re-export restrictions and regulations.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Budget0 regarding the use of the Application.

16. No Warranty for Accuracy

While Budget0 is designed to help with budgeting, we make no warranties about the accuracy or suitability of budget calculations. Users are responsible for verifying all budget calculations.

17. Children's Use

Budget0 is not directed at children under 13. Since we don't collect any data, we cannot verify user ages. Parents or guardians are responsible for monitoring their children's use of the Application.

18. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside, without regard to conflict of law principles.
